Spring '06: TX, Grandma and Grandpa 'Dell visit, Easter
This first set is from the trip to Texas to produce the 2006 CCCU Forum. I'd give a link,
but they've taken the page down. I should have taken more, but I was busy. It was a big learning
experience having designed the stage set and rigging outline. The contractor was Dave Hash from
Sound on Sound AV, which is now IPG (soundonsoundav.com)
I got to call cues and generally boss people around. Not really... ;) The resort was pretty sweet,
and Julie got to go see Sherry and Jenny and the babies while there.

Sherry and Jenny with the babies
Ah, Texas. Everything's bigger!
The Gaylord has over 10,000 square feet in the courtyard, all under glass, which is 9 stories up.
I got to enjoy the pool... a little. This was me an hour on the phone talking our crew through VeNture setup
THERE'S the pool...
Spring '06 / Easter / Birthday Parties
We had LOTS to do this spring, after the trip to Texas, as VeNture was moving to the gym on
Sunday mornings, and we had family for Easter! Owen's first and my 30th birthday got celebrated
twice! We got to host Grandma and Grandpa 'Dell (Waddell) this time too! Kate really enjoyed them.
They toured D.C. and had a poignant moment as Jim, who served in WWII got to visit the memorial for
the first time. They also visited Mt. Vernon, and caught several events at IBC. We laughed as Jim
said, "Boy, I've been to church so much it feels like this was a "Christian Retreat" or
something!" Hmmm.
This was off Chris Hansen's camera of the family and little Jim's Mark IV diving helmet
ARRRRrrrrr... love the faces
His first birthday cake experience was pretty mild.
BUT IT WAS SURE GOOD!!!
Daddy, I'M eating a cupcake TOO!
Love that smile...
Julie's found him a new passion. WATER!
'Is grandma 'Dell in a stroller too, daddy?' Yes, Kate, that's grandma 'Dell's stroller!

Owen getting infused. This was a hard afternoon
PBS kept us occupied for awhile. Owen was very patient with his arm splinted for over 2 hours.
He finally fell asleep, which was a blessing.
Her lips? Cathy, anybody?
The water table is SOOOO much fun.
I think she's sitting on his hands, I'm not sure.
A very common scene with the neigbors.
Owen likes to eat the bubbles
I brought the Taylor home one day, and the kids liked it. This picture was a mistake, but I think it's 'Artistic'
Julie got 2 boxes, one for sand, one for rice, and they LOVE them...
Of all the toys, she grabs the shopping cart (thanks dad for the lawn)
...and he grabs the truck.
